Beware The Scams

Have you ever heard the old saying: "Beware the stranger bearing free gifts?"

There is another old, and very wise, statement that says: "If it looks too good to be true then it probably is." Beware anything that appears too good to be true when surfing the web because 95% of it will prove to be just that.

Have you ever stopped to wonder why all the so-called internet gurus are selling systems aimed at making newcomers to online business rich? Is it possibly because the true riches are in telling newbies how clever they are rather than having built a genuine business and then telling you how it is done? Or could it possibly be that newcomers are more vulnerable and likely to part with their cash?

You could be forgiven for taking the cynical approach and asking the simple question: "If this system is so good why are you rushing to share it with everybody?"

Did Bill Gates share all of his secrets when building the Microsoft empire? I doubt it and that is why I keep repeating the beware message.

While the internet is a wonderful tool it has one massive problem and that is the fact that it provides just too much information at any given time. This can create information overload and is the major reason why newbies attempting to build an online business fail. The very fact that your brain is attempting to cope with too much information causes it to be unable to focus on each snippet of information to make it work for you. That is why after so many years of unsuccessfully attempting to build an online income I decided to ignore the "gurus" and start using the tortoise system. It wasn't until this was implemented that I finally started to see some money coming in rather than going out.

The entire tortoise system works by focusing attention and energy on one simple thing at a time and not moving on until that one thing is working for you.

The first step of the tortoise system is to create time to concentrate and after months of flitting around the peripheral problem I decided to use my electronic diary for one whole month to log my time used online in five-minute segments.

At the end of the month time spent on each activity was calculated and to my horror I found that just over 48% of my time was taken reading, deleting or responding to emails. Fact 1: EMails are a major consumer of online time and I knew instantly that if I was able to take back control of the emails I was receiving then the saved time could be devoted to creating online income.

The emails fell into the following categories:

1. Pure unwanted SPAM from pharmacies, replica watches, people in Nigeria promising me a share of untold wealth if only I give them my bank account details etc.

2. Offers from so-called "internet gurus"

3. Genuine emails for one of my offline businesses.

4. Genuine contact from friends and relatives.

5. Jokes and various funnies sent by friends and relatives.

Imagine my shock when my audit discovered that categories 1 and 2 above were responsible for 80% of the cluttering of my various inboxes. These people are demanding so much of my time for nothing when my time is worth money.

Conclusion: Beware the person demanding your time - the more you give them the less you have for your own demands.

This led me to invest in a good whitelisting software that has gained almost two extra hours each day that I can use to concentrate on developing my own online income. It was this two hours saved that actually started the ball rolling for me. Time is a very precious commodity because there are only 24 hours in each day and much of it is spent on other commitments.

Although the word beware has a negative side to it this website is primarily a positive place and it all starts at our home page

By following this link you will find a detailed explanation of an internet scam that is common at the moment and I fell for it. This type of scam is happening every minute of every day and if we fail to make them public we are supporting them. It isn't always easy to admit to the fact that you've been misled but we all have a duty to make others aware of any dangers.
