Enthusiasm And Personal Success
Enthusiasm is a key factor in personal success – if you cannot believe in something you cannot succeed at it. Simple, but true, logic. So I ask you to find a quiet place, sit down,close your eyes and think of everything that is affecting your life today and make some hard decisions. Recently I took the rouble to do some tracing on the origin of words and the English word enthusiasm comes from the Greek word Entheo which translates to: “The inspiration within us”. It could also be translated as coming from the soul of the person. It is impossible to fake your feelings if you are not happy about the way your life is going – everybody eventually see’s through your charade and you end up looking like a fool. How you feel and how you tell the world you are feeling is communicated through eyes. It has been written that your eyes are the window to your soul. It is almost impossible for most people to tell a convincing lie when they do not look the other person in the eyes because they fear that by looking you straight in the eyes you will see through their charade. If you fail to make solid eye contact when making a statement to somebody the value of your statement greatly diminishes, in fact some business people that I know will automatically dismiss any statement made by a person that doesn’t look them in the eye when the statement is made. Another unidentified scribe once wrote: “The only thing more catching than enthusiasm is lack of enthusiasm.” Think about that for a moment before you start asking yourself how enamored you are about the current projects that are affecting your life, or even blocking your path to success. Anything you find that you are working on and does not meet this criterion you should immediately abandon and focus only on the things you truly enthuse about. Then just watch your life soar to new heights.
