The Magic Of MLM

MLM or Multi Level Marketing to use the full title is one of those areas of working from home that many people are shy of getting into. Frankly we agree with their scepticism because too often pyramid schemes pose as multi level marketing and you have to be a total fool to become involved in any pyramid scheme.

Another problem people face when getting involved in multi level marketing is that they tend to sign up under the wrong upline to be successful. Let me explain what I mean by that in simple terms:

All of these opportunities advertise a system that leads you to believe that you will compete on an even playing field and this is so rarely true that the statement could be classed as misleading. They will have you believe that as the people above you fill up their network new subscriber’s overflow into your network and help to build your income. Although this statement is true of the system as a whole I would like to use a couple of imaginary situations to describe exactly what happens.

Scenario 1: You see an advertisement to join a MLM program, you study the details and it looks good. You click the button and join to secure a place in the network. Now here’s the clincher… The person you have signed up under is incapable of filling his matrix and therefore there is no overflow coming down to you. You will get finish up with only the few people that you are able to sign up.

Scenario 2: The person you sign up under is an internet marketing guru with a mailing list in excess of 100,000 people who will all be invited to join his matrix. Below him/her are another half a dozen IM gurus who each have lists of tens of thousands of people who will be invited to join. Just the power of the people above will create overflow to their own matrix’s that will flow down to you.

What many people don’t realize is that within all MLM programs each matrix, or downline, is competing against all of the other matrixes in the program. The result is that the strongest matrix makes the most money. The art of succeeding is to be part of the strongest matrix.
