Visualize Your Outcomes

Do you visualize where you are heading in your life?

The popularity of our article on goals and outcomes has driven many comments and questions from our readers and it appears that a great number of our readers are asking similar questions: “I find it easy to set an outcome and set achievable goals to achieve that out come but somewhere along the line the goals no longer appear important.”

Obviously I missed something very important in the original article; a little something called vision. If you do not visualize you cannot set an outcome that you will be driven to achieve. If your outcome is truly important to you then you will be driven to achieve it step by step and never give up.

For the benefit of this article let us say: “My outcome is to have a net wealth of $20,000,000” – What you must do now is sit back for a week or two and visualize life with $20,000,000 at your disposal, build a mental picture that is so clear that you truly see yourself in this position:

- Imagine the house you will live in. The neighbourhood, the style of house etc.

- Imagine your garden; the pool, the landscaping.

- Imagine the car you will drive.

- Imagine the resort you will holiday in at least once each year.

- Imagine the school your children will attend.

- Imagine each bill being paid on time every time.

- Imagine your hobby.

- Imagine what you will put back into this world by charity donations.

Allow time for all of these imaginations to take shape in your sub-conscious because it is your sub-conscious mind that is the driving force of your achievements.

When you have a clear picture of your outcome you need to build a mental picture of the vehicle that is going to take you to this outcome. You are not going to win it in a lottery and you are not going to earn this type of money working for somebody else so you must enter the world of arts or business.

Maybe you are a skilled writer and feel that you can produce a best seller each year for twenty or more years – Jackie Collins did it. Or maybe you wish to use the internet to build a business – what niche of the online market can you service best of all? Obviously it will be the subject that you know most about. Is it automotives, sports, quilting, animals, books or any other niche? You must have a business to get started and take you to your first goal.

Never make the mistake that all failures make and attempt to do too much. You will never have an empire worth $20 million if you can’t run a business that makes $1,000 per month. This is the first financial goal – to run one simple business. The reason you need to concentrate on just one business is because this is where you learn the basics of running a business. Don’t tell me I’m a business graduate – the fall out of business graduates from real business is frightening. Life isn’t replicated in a university and if you are to succeed you need to learn real life very quickly.

The message from article is simple never attempt to achieve your goals and outcomes until you can visualize what you want. If you fail to make a mental picture of where you are going you have nothing to bind your motivation.

Once I have set the first goal achieving it dominates my visualization until I achieve that goal; only after that do I start to concentrate on the next goal. One simple step after another and your vision will materialize.
