Wealth Building Mind Training
What is wealth building?
By now everybody knows all the old statements like: “You are where you are today because of the way that you think. If you are to move on to greater achievement then you must first change the way that you think.” We agree with that statement – it is simple, logical and plain old fashioned common sense. Who can argue with it? Mind training is more fascinating as you start to see improvements in the way that you live.
Sideline: If you do argue with it don’t bother reading further because until you can accept that simple statement your life isn’t going to change.
The universe we live in is an ever changing environment and people that cannot cope with change get left behind. Look around you now and think back 10 years – there has been big changes in everything.
We like to use the analogy of the Hunter versus the Hunted. - A lion is a hunter and a gazelle is hunted. The hunter is more flexible and alters its approach based upon wind direction and environmental conditions. The gazelle is fast, has the security of a pack and is therefore less flexible because it believes that the pack is all the protection it needs, even though it sees other gazelles fall to lion attack almost daily. The hunter almost always wins this battle because it is flexible and moves with the changes of wind, environment and shadow. The hunted remains planted in a feeling of safety.
Question: Are you a Hunter or are you Hunted?
So now we have a couple of indicators about how we must adjust our thinking for the purpose of wealth building:
1. The Universe is constantly changing.
2. The Hunter is more successful because she/he is more flexible.
So let us look a little closer at flexibility because it is all important to wealth building and success. The reason some people succeed and others do not is often a matter of flexibility. Wealth management is also about flexibility and that is why wealth building owes as much to mindset as it does to skill.
In all relationships finance plays a critical role and sometimes what appears to be major problems can be overcome by finding an extra $100 each week. We are all born with equal mind power and nothing is beyond anybody.
Being flexible is never attempting to do the same thing twice unless it works perfectly. You try something, then examine the results and find it was only 50% successful so you leave the successful part alone and fine tune the unsuccessful part until you have an end result closer to 100% success.
Inflexible people attempt something once and if it doesn’t work 100% first time they discard it and look for something else. These people have a hunted attitude and must seriously change the way that they think before they can become a hunter. Hunters will always be the most successful wealth builders.
Success starts in the mind; Walt Disney once said: “If you can imagine something you can do it.” Without that frame of mind he would never have succeeded in building the various theme parks that bring so much pleasure to so many people. We promised in the article that led many of you to this page to expose a key ingredient of wealth building that most presenters or gurus never mention. That simple ingredient is giving a reason to be wealthy.
It is true that our thoughts program our minds and everybody knows the statement: “Think rich and you become rich.” They wrongfully put this statement forward as a way of programming your mind. We’re sorry to say that the programming language your mind understands has to be goal orientated. The mind must be given a reason for you to become wealthy or it will not focus upon that goal.
Simply thinking “I want to be wealthy” will not program your mind, it needs a solid reason as well.
Therefore you should be thinking something like: “I want to be wealthy so that I can build a facility to help the needy in my town.” Or, “I want to be wealthy so that I can use my wealth to further the education of mankind.” Here is the caveat on that line of thinking: If you simply want to be wealthy to lead an idle life your mind will rebel – it doesn’t want to be lazy, it wants challenges forever more. Also you must truly believe in the reason why you need to be wealthy and when that happens your mind will start guiding you to all the right links. Never attempt to mix wealth with greed – they are like oil and water and will never mix.
Before you start wealth building be sure that you truly believe in your reason for seeking wealth because if you don’t you will create an obstacle that your mind will never overcome.
Never forget that you only need pay each bill once and just look at the behaviour of some of the Hollywood brats that have grown up living on the wealth of parents and grandparents. They are typical examples of wealth without reason. Also bear in mind that many people become wealthy and have never focused upon building wealth; they may have focused upon inventing something and wealth came as a by-product. Just realize and identify that they had a long term focus on the greater good of the community and wealth flowed as a consequence of this focus.
Have a reason – a true reason and discard make-belief because you can’t fool your own mind.
Be prepared to take a first simple step; like building an online business that only uses a small amount of your time but produces good income as a stepping stone. When you have an excess of cash over bills to be paid you can then start concentrating fully on the things you want from life.
